After the final 4 picks are made, all remaining players from the 2017 draft (who were drafted by an nhl team) will become free agents and can be signed. Please remember that if signing free agents you must be below the allowed amount of players owned. For example if you have 26 farm players after using this years draft picks you must drop two players before adding new farm player, bringing your farm to the 25 player limit.

NJ still has their make up pick. Once that pick is made, teams can add the leftover 2017 prospects to their farm if they desire (and have the room)
Prospect rosters do not have to be cut down to 25 until beginning of the season rosters are due, however you can only exceed 25 prospects if acquired by trade or draft. You can only add free agent prospects if you are under 25 players on your farm.
Any questions please ask admin.

Could we say Sunday or Monday at 12pm EST the leftover prospects are eligible to be added?

Could we say Sunday or Monday at 12pm EST the leftover prospects are eligible to be added? Fair enough Drew, with it being a long weekend and people away, Monday at Noon EST the leftover prospects will be added to the prospect pool. So July 3, 12:00 (Noon) est. If anyone has any additional concerns please let admin know.

Last couple years we just did an extension of the draft, where we could add guys in order, why aren't we doing that anymore?

Last couple years we just did an extension of the draft, where we could add guys in order, why aren't we doing that anymore? Last year i got a couple complaints that if we only have 3 round draft picks, running additional rounds gave additional advantage to some teams. So opening up additions to everyone at the same time seemed like a more fair way to do it. Id be open to switching back though and will add it to the voting thread so we have something permanent in place going forward. The main issue was that allowing more rounds gave teams an ability to add over the 25 allowed prospects. If we did go back to running additional rounds, teams would have to be below 25 prospects to take advantage.

I'm fine either way I just thought it would be easier than having everyone sign on at noon and possibly be adding the same guys. I think last year you still had to be below the 25 prospects to add any additional players. So it be the same thing we are doing now, but just going one at a time instead of a free for all at noon on Monday. Either way though

Safe to say that both NJ and COL have given up their picks? Jets should have the two players they wanted now.

Safe to say that both NJ and COL have given up their picks? Jets should have the two players they wanted now. Col made their pick, Dmitri samorukov. WPG gets their two picks. Free agency opens tomorrow (see post for time). NJ can have til then to make their last pick.
