Managers of the DHL! I am pleased to present to you the 2017-2018 DHL schedule! Like in the past, you will have 3 matchups with your division rivals, and you will play each other team 1 time per season. As mentioned, the teams who finished Top 4 in the pre-season rankings (MIN, LA, MTL, NYI) will play each other sequentially in the final four weeks, presumably to determine the President's Trophy race. Please look over your individual team, and report and discrepancies you may find. Peter

I feel bad for Shawn though, already knowing that his season will start 0-1...

I feel bad for Shawn though, already knowing that his season will start 0-1... Week 1 is a bit of a rivalry week: MTL/NYR - the custody battle for Mark Borowiecki (too bad he got drafted by TOR ) CGY/MIN - The battle of the past two DHL champions NYI/OTT - self proclaimed "most valuable manager in DHL history" vs "The overseas award for just being happy to be a part of the league but I have no chance of winning" BUF/COL - The battle of the chicken parm sandwich LVK/TOR - The battle of the top ranked new franchises DAL/NJ - The battle of DHL admin who constantly trash talk eachother LAK/STL - The battle of former division rivals WPG and PHI are the only ones who didn't fit so i'll let them make up their own storyline on this one!

Recap of last year's Over/Under Rated:
Judging only by the regular season standings, here's how our highly technical predictive formula worked out last season:
Just about right category: Minnesota - predicted to finish 1st, ended up 2nd. The formula gets full marks. Montreal - predicted 3rd, finished 1st. Not bad for the formula, but could have been better. NYI - predicted 4th, finished 3rd. Full marks. Buffalo - predicted 11th, finished 9th. Pretty solid. STL - predicted 14th, finished 11th. Should have been in the underrated category. WPG - predicted 15th, finished 16th. Full marks.
Overrated category: Toronto - predicted 5th, finished 7th. Not a bad prediction LA - predicted 2nd, finished 4th. Right again. Las Vegas - predicted 6th, finished 10th. Those shiny new toys all look so nice! Philadelphia - predicted 7th, finished 12th. *See above Calgary - predicted 10th, finished 14. Full marks for the formula again New Jersey - predicted 12th, finished 15th. Right again.
Underrated category: Dallas - predicted 8th, finished 5th. Bang on. NYR - predicted 9th, finished 6th. So much disrespect! Colorado - predicted 13th, finished 8th. Formula comes through again. Ottawa - predicted 16th, finished 13th. Full marks.
So by my count the super-secret formula was correct on 13 or 14 of the predictions, and pretty damn close on the others. We will soon offer gambling cheat sheets, sign up to get yours today!
