6 Strong years ago, the DHL was founded by Tyler Young. He gathered together the best GM's he could find and put together perhaps one of the greatest Fantasy Leagues to ever exist. Through the first 6 years, there were some ups and downs. Owners who could not keep up got the boot, and new owners with better resumes got added. The DHL became the staple flagship for a group of other Fantasy Pools, The TDL, THE DBL, and the long forgotten DFL, unfortunately there are times that life requires one to step away, and for Ty this was the case. After watching all the affiliated Leagues shutdown in a two year span, the remaining admin of the DHL decided to not go down without a fight.... The New DHL 2.0 was started to allow the DHL to survive. 13 of the 16 owners from the DHL were invited to carry over their teams to this new platform. The remaining three teams will be dispersed among three of the best fantasy minds we could find. Steve, Matt, and Josh 2.0 will have the opportunity to join the ranks of the elite and get a unique opportunity of drafting their teams to instantly put their stamp on their franchise. Please take the time to welcome them in DHL 2.0 Fashion! A brief introduction; What franchise you are, how long you have been with the league, championships you've won...etc And for the new guys, please take this opportunity to introduce yourself to the league. We are a great group of guys, although once the playoffs start you wouldn't know it. In Honor of Ty.... Former DHL Champion

Welcome to the DHL Steve, Matt, and Josh 2.0! I'm Coach Biz, manager of the defunct Columbus Blue Jackets now the ------ I was recruited by Ty 4 seasons ago from another league.. and aside from struggling with the 141 boards on the forum.. i instantly got hooked on the DHL! the skill set, activity, collaboration and having Peter and Josh at the wheel quickly made this my go to hockey league. First 3 seasons have been a mixed bag in terms of on the ice success. I turned a bad team around quickly.. became the IT boy by the league papparazzi... but have struggled in seasons 2 and 3 to move the team forward. Injuries played a part in that.. but that's not an excuse that gets you too far.. We have a good roster though and looking forward to imposing our will in the the new 2.0 moving forward!......Looking forward to competing against you fellas!
Coach Biz -

Welcome to the new victims. I'm one of the original members of the best league around....DHL!! DHL!!
I haven't won too much in my 6 years but as they say, next year it's gonna be all mine!!
It's a fantastic league with loads of great managers. I'm sure the 3 of you will add a huge amount going forward. Oh and by the way I live in Australia so If I go quiet for a few hours it's because I'm asleep.
ENJOY!!

Matt, Steve, Josh. 2.0, we at the DHL 2.0 are thrilled to have you come aboard! I'm excited for you three to be part of the first dispersal draft in league history and get a chance to build your way from the get go (from a pretty talented pool of players too!)
I joined the DHL in December of 2012, prior to the commencement of the lockout season. The franchise I took over had just finished last in the league and traded away their first round draft picks, so needless to say, I had some work to do. In the four subsequent seasons, we finished 15th, 9th, 5th then won our 1st championship, the first and only re-location franchise to win the DHL so far.
Should you need clarification on rules, procedures, etc, please feel free to shoot me a message anytime!

Welcome guys! I took over then Buffalo Sabres mid-way through the 2014-15 season. The team was brutal but it had a pretty good stock of prospects. In short order I traded every good young prospect and now have an aging, mediocre team. We did make the playoffs this year for the first time in franchise history. All in the all the future is, well, opaque at best.

First of all, thanks for adding me into the league and thanks for the introductions! Excited to get started and create a sustainable, perennial contender and have some laughs along the way. I consider myself a pretty big fantasy hockey nut and a NHL draft aficionado driven by my new goal of beating Peter in everything fantasy hockey I'll be extremely accessible so send me those trade offers!

Welcome aboard guys!!!!! It will be great to see active and new managers taking over the 3 defunct teams. All the best!
As a proud member of the DHL from the beginning i can confidently say and prove that my New York Islanders are the most successful franchise in DHL history. This league has had its ups and downs (mostly ups) but the future looks bright with the new management in place!
With that, to give you a better understanding of each manager and team i leave you with a few truthful manager/team analogies that will create some stir but im used to it:
MOST VALUABLE FRANCHISE/MANAGER IN DHL HISTORY: Myself (New York Islanders)
WORST FRANCHISE IN DHL HISTORY: Kyle (the defunct Boston Bruins)
CURRENT MOST OVERRATED FRANCHISE IN THE DHL: Peter (Minnesota Wild) & Chris (Montreal Canadians)
NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING FRANCHISE: Nathan (Colorado Avalanche) & Shawn (New York Rangers)
THE OVERSEAS AWARD FOR JUST BEING HAPPY TO BE A PART OF THE LEAGUE BUT I HAVE NO CHANCE OF WINNING: Darren (Ottawa Senators)
TOUGH GUY PERSONA AWARD: Drew (LA Kings)
MOST IRRELEVANT MANAGER/FRANCHISE IN THE DHL: Lou (Vancouver Canucks)

Hey everyone,
First I just wanted to say thanks to Josh for asking me to join, and for all of you for giving me the opportunity to compete in this league. I spent a few days last week looking around the site and you all seem to be very committed managers with a great league in hand. There are some really awesome features that Biz has created that makes me very excited to be here, so great work on that. I look forward to weighing in on some future decisions that will be made and being an integrated part of everything here.
Second, a little about my hockey and fantasy hockey past, I have been playing fantasy hockey for about 8 years now. I've been a part of many different leagues over the years and won my fair share of championships, although not as many as I would have hoped. I play in the THL with Josh and have been working on rebuilding a dismal team for the past 3 years. I watch way too much hockey for my own good, typically watching full game replays while at work and try to stay on top of everything that goes on in the league. I have also come to realize that I can be very biased about certain players and teams, although I try to take that bias out as much as I can.
Lastly, some information that will be completely useless to everyone. My name is Matt, born and raised just outside of Philadelphia... and therefore, unfortunately, am a Flyers fan. You can make fun of that fact as much as you want while I watch the idiots who run that organization run in circles for the next decade. Similar to how they have for the past decade. I'm a mechanical engineer, and am currently just outside the DC area.
Thanks again for bringing me in here and I look forward to competing with you all for years to come!

Hey guys
Welcome to the DHL! As Armando said, it's great to see some new blood and active managers come in and take over some of those teams that were lacking activity lately. It'll be interesting to see what kind of teams shake out of the upcoming dispersal draft.
I joined the DHL in 2013, taking over the previous St. Louis Blues organization. My team has had its ups and downs since then, only making the playoffs twice, but I find a lot of fun in making moves and really managing both the major and minor rosters.
Best of luck to all 3 of you guys!! Really looking forward to seeing you compete!

DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT PEOPLE THINK: Armando (New York Islanders)...and I wouldn't want it any other way, lol...
Welcome to the league guys. This is bar far the best and most competitive league that I am in with the exception of three managers and from what I see, that wont be an issue anymore.
I'm Chris, Montreal Canadiens. I have been here for two full seasons. I took over an 8th place Canadiens team in 2015, and finished the regular season 3rd. I also finished 3rd in the playoffs because I have Malkin. This season, I finished 1st during the regular season but got eliminated in the 1st round to the 8th place team, because I have Malkin.
You guys aren't allowed to make trades for the first week of your DHL 2.0 existence so in 168 hours, 1 minute, I will most likely be sending all three of you offers.
Joking aside, the managers here are great. The league is great. Feel free to send me a message if you ever need help with anything, want to trade, anything.
Oh, and whoever of you drafts Carey Price, be ready...you have my goalie.

Welcome Steve, Matt and Josh 2.0. Glad to have you guys here. I'm a relatively new owner in the DHL myself, took over a team in 2015 and re-branded a to Vancouver. Made a few moves and got into the playoffs my first season here, then took a step back this season finishing 12th. In DHL 2.0 I've moved the team to Buffalo because if you're going to be mediocre...Buffalo is the place to do it! Outside of that I'm in a bunch of other leagues and am a 15+ year fantasy hockey veteran with a lot of success, just not really in here yet. This is a great league, lots of active managers with great hockey knowledge. You guys will enjoy it. Best of luck!

Welcome to the league boys! Glad to be adding 3 more active managers to this already great league. My name's Garrett, GM of the Blues. I took over a perennial last players Oilers team 2.5 years ago and promptly dumped my whole team to start my rebuild in St. Louis. It's been a long road but I'm finally starting to see the light. If you guys decide to rebuild I'm sure we will have some great battles (in the standings and for prospect hoarding) lol. Also, since I didn't win any of Armando's awards it's because I'm such a nice guy, or frankly, he just forgot about me haha. I look forward to the offseason getting to know you all...and more importantly, draft prepping!

Hey guys, it's taken me a while to navigate through the league and forums but I'm slowly getting through it. Judging by the amount of forums and conversations that I've looked through, it's clear that everyone in this league takes this very seriously, which is awesome.
I'm only in 1 other fantasy hockey league. I've been heavy into fantasy football and baseball for as long as I can remember, but I'm excited to get more involved in fantasy hockey. I spent the first 25 years of my life in Toronto, making me a Leafs fan. Because of this, I'm obviously very used to losing. However, the Leafs are trending up and the Cup will be back in Toronto in no-time. I'm going to try my very best to ensure that my team doesn't have to wait 50+ years to win a championship - though this shouldn't be that difficult seeing that we're in a division with the Senators and Canadiens

Haha...I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure Toronto doesn't reach that championship for another 50+ years...shouldn't be that difficult seeing their history!
